Braga Brick Fan Event 2025 presented to the press: creativity, inclusion, and talent at the largest LEGO® exhibition in the Iberian Peninsula

The Braga Brick Fan Event 2025, organized by InvestBraga, was officially presented to the press today, confirming itself as one of the most anticipated events of the year. Taking place at Forum Braga from 7 to 9 November, the exhibition promises a memorable edition with over 8 million LEGO® bricks spread across 5,000 m², 24 AFOLs (Adult Fans of LEGO®), hundreds of original constructions, and a strong educational and international component.

A highlight of the presentation was Jorge Reis, Visual Arts teacher, AFOL representative, and exhibitor from Braga, who showcased to the press his impressive replica of Forum Braga, built with 12,000 LEGO® bricks and remarkable attention to detail. A LEGO® enthusiast for over 30 years and a pioneer in using LEGO® as a pedagogical tool, Jorge Reis emphasized that “these pieces are much more than toys — they are a powerful tool for learning, overcoming challenges, and expressing creativity. Braga Brick is a space where talent is built brick by brick and where we can share our work with the world.”

José Olímpio, Operations Director at InvestBraga, after introducing the 24 AFOLs and their creations, highlighted “the uniqueness of Braga Brick compared to other similar fairs, precisely because of the immersive experience it offers visitors. Here, the constructions are not merely displayed on tables — each one is set within its own environment, designed to enhance its theme. For example, the Botany area will be presented inside a greenhouse. This aesthetic and narrative care reflects the high level of rigor, detail, and quality of the participating AFOLs.”

One of the world’s top-ranked AFOLs will also be present at the fair: Jakob Escher, from Germany, with his monumental creation ‘The History of the Estação da Luz’. The replica of São Paulo’s iconic building was built with 135,000 LEGO® bricks, weighs 125 kg, and meticulously reproduces both the exterior and interior of the original station — undoubtedly one of the major highlights of the 2025 edition.

Carlos Silva, Executive Board Member of InvestBraga, also emphasized “the scale and uniqueness of the event, which transcends borders and continues to grow with each edition, attracting families, schools, enthusiasts, and LEGO® lovers alike.” He further noted “the importance of the fair offering dedicated areas for construction training, affordable ticket prices for all families, and the opportunity for visitors to make purchases within the venue.”

In addition to the main exhibition, the fair will feature 9D Virtual Reality simulators, a Fun Zone dedicated to building and customizing mini-figures, live art by Catalan graffiti artist Werens, free caricatures by cartoonist Adão Silva, and a food court serving crepes, pizzas, sweets, and popcorn — creating a welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere.

The event also strengthens its educational and inclusive focus through the European project “Bricks of Inclusion”, developed in partnership with FAJUB – Federation of Youth Associations of Braga, involving 22 youth workers from Portugal, Spain, Denmark, and Romania. This program uses LEGO® bricks as a learning tool to promote creativity, critical thinking, and intergenerational collaboration across cultures.

The Braga Brick Fan Event 2025 will once again feature TV presenter Jorge Gabriel as the fair’s official ambassador and promises to surprise visitors of all ages with new themes, interactive spaces, and unique sensory experiences.

Tickets are priced at €2 (for children aged 4–10) and €3.50 (for ages 11 and above), with free entry for children up to 3 years old — making this event an open invitation to imagination, sharing, and the collective construction of creativity.
