InvestBraga and the Municipality of Braga are once again participating in XANTAR – the International Gastronomic Tourism Fair, which this year celebrates its 26th edition, taking place from 20 to 23 November in Ourense. This major Iberian event continues to highlight excellence in gastronomy, sustainable tourism, and the value of regional products, serving as a strategic platform to promote Braga, its events, and its economic ecosystem.
Over four days, XANTAR offers visitors an immersive experience through showcookings, guided tastings, product presentations, thematic conferences, and the International Meeting on Sustainable and Healthy Gastronomy. Dozens of chefs, producers, specialists, and organisations take part, reinforcing the connection between gastronomy, tourism, territory, and innovation.
The participation of InvestBraga and the Municipality of Braga strengthens the city’s position as a leading gastronomic and tourist destination, while also showcasing the role of Forum Braga as a major venue for fairs and congresses. Among the highlights being promoted in Ourense is the 58th edition of AGRO – the International Agriculture, Livestock and Food Fair, which returns to Forum Braga from 26 to 29 March 2026.
With more than 25,000 m² of exhibition space, including 15,000 m² dedicated to exhibitors, AGRO reaffirms itself as the leading agricultural fair in Northern Portugal and one of the most relevant in the Northwestern Iberian Peninsula. Certified by UFI – The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry and a member of Eurasco, AGRO annually brings together farmers, breeders, producers, agri-food and livestock companies, importers, specialists, and the general public. The 2026 edition will also feature an extended programme of conferences, demonstrations, tastings, and livestock competitions, reinforcing its importance as a flagship event for the sector.
During the fair, InvestBraga will also highlight several major events on Forum Braga’s November calendar, namely Mobility Expo 2025, focused on innovation and sustainability within the automotive and urban mobility sectors — another event that strengthens Forum Braga’s position as a reference platform for large-scale industry fairs.
With dozens of national and international exhibitors and thousands of expected visitors, XANTAR continues to establish itself as a privileged space for cultural, economic, and tourism exchange between Portugal, Spain, and Latin America. The institutional representation of Braga — through InvestBraga and the Municipality — positions the city as a key player in the global dialogue on gastronomy, sustainability, and territorial promotion.
